Made With Plants, an Aussie food company, has launched plant-based alt-steak into Woolworths stores around Australia.
Inspired by centuries-old Asian culinary traditions, the brand has used seitan, a low-fat source of plant-based protein to create the steak making most devoted meat-eater sink their teeth into.
Cale Drouin, co-founder of Made With Plants, is proud that the company’s vegan steak is tender, juicy, and delivers unbelievable flavour with a convincing mouthfeel.
“It’s perfect for vegans, flexitarians, and everyday shoppers who simply are curious to try new plant-based foods,” added Drouin.
“Our goal was to make enjoying quality plant-based protein as simple as a piece of steak. Made With Plants Steak is made using whole food ingredients, and we’re very proud to say it has achieved a four-health star rating.”
In addition, Made With Plants Steak can be served with a wide range of sides including mashed potatoes and roast vegetables, or an Aussie pub classic – steak with hot chips and gravy.
Aligning with the debut of Made With Plants Steak, Woolworths has committed to offering customers a variety of vegan culinary options.
Made With Plants Steaks are available in the plant-based sections of selected Woolworths stores.
