Lucent Globe, a start-up producing zero-waste, plant-based, and biodegradable household cleaning products, has reached 5900 per cent growth annually after two years.

Specifically, there are 60,000 orders to date this year, more than 4000 orders each week, 1500 five-star customer reviews, and 5500 return customers. This expansion also proves that Australians are still becoming more conscious of consumerism.

Starting as a kitchen bench operation, the 27-year old twin brothers founders have developed and produced two main biodegradable and plant based products, which are dishwashing and laundry detergent sheets.

Brodie Cook, CEO and co-founder of Lucent Globe, said the business strategy has been optimised for growth.

“At the heart of our business model is a zero-compromise strategy, with a strong belief that households should not have to compromise on the quality or cost per clean when doing right by the planet,” said Cook.

“With many Australian households feeling the pressures of inflation, it is really important for us to continue offering a quality, safe and accessible solution that doesn’t have a large impact on a user’s weekly expenses. Our detergent sheets cost approximately 37 cents per clean – that’s almost a third of the cost of our chemical-based competitors.”

In order to achieve the goals of totally eliminating single-use plastics from Australian households, Lucent Globe continues to offer zero-waste, environmentally and financially responsible cleaning solutions.

The team is also working with a local research and development team to release new products and upscale the business in coming years.
