Japanese cosmetics brand Fancl is making it easier to go green with the launch of Toiro, a skincare line designed with sustainability in mind.

The new skincare line features reusable packaging made from Eastman Tritan copolyester, a durable, BPA-free plastic known for its clarity, impact resistance, and chemical resistance, often used in food and beverage containers, kitchenware, and medical devices.

Fancl said many of its customers are already mindful of sustainability, so a refillable option made sense. A practical, durable packaging that reduces waste.

The idea is simple: buy a sleek, shatter-proof Tritan bottle and cap once, then just swap in refill cartridges as needed. This, in turn, cuts down on plastic waste without compromising the product.

“Fancl needed a material that could meet a lot of needs for this new line,” said Tara Cary, Eastman’s market manager for cosmetic packaging. From durability and chemical resistance to aesthetics, Tritan checked all the boxes.”
