Samsonite

The newly renovated Samsonite pop-up cafe at IFC Mall in Hong Kong has integrated sustainable practices into its design and construction, using repurposed materials and energy-efficient systems.

Samsonite incorporates 100 per cent environmentally responsible materials, including FSC-certified plywood, low-emission gypsum board, and paints.

For the interior, the pop-up optimises materials made from post-industrial waste. Noticeably, wall designs and podiums within the retail space are also made from repurposed leftover fabric and luggage shell edges.

In addition, the brand implements some energy efficiency measures, with the store using LED lighting and motion sensor technology.

During the renovation process, the brand segregates over 75 per cent of construction waste collected by certified recycling companies for disposal at designated recycling points.
