San Diego phone case brand LifeProof has launched plastic cases for Apple Watch, Airpods and AirPods Pro, made with plastic recycled from the ocean.

Made from 75 to 99 per cent ocean-based recycled plastic, LifeProof cases protect owners’ devices – and help recover trash from the environment.

The eco-friendly case for Apple Watch 4/5/6/SE 40mm and 44mm is made from 85-per-cent ocean-based recycled plastic, while the Apple Watch 38/40mm case uses 99 per cent, and all cases for AirPods 75 per cent.

Each case offers edge-to-edge protection and offers easy contact with screens. All of the cases can withstand force and are effectively waterproof.

“LifeProof was born from the ocean with waterproof cases, and it is our responsibility to protect those waters that are so dear to us,” said Jim Parke, CEO of Lifeproof. “These new designs align with everything that we stand for – uncompromised protection and a dedication to help preserve our ocean by building cases from ocean-based recycled plastic.”

Lifeproof encourages customers to make efforts to change the environment that can be better and greener. Each purchase will result in a donation to support a healthier future for our world’s water through a partnership with Water.org, the Coral Reef Alliance, American Rivers and Oceana

The cases are available from LifeProof’s website.

Companies all around the world are trying to identify more eco-friendly solutions for our daily products. Among other concepts we have written about on Viable Earth are Act71 and Casetify.
