Casetify – the Hong Kong-based global lifestyle brand – has launched a range of eco-friendly, hip new cases for iPhones, AirPods and AirTags, dubbed the Ultra Compostable Collection.

What makes these special is that users can guiltlessly throw the cases away when they are finished with them because they are 100-per-cent compostable.

Made from a trademarked blend of biopolymers, starch, and bamboo grain, the cases mark the second generation of Casetify’s original Conscious cases offering a drop-protection of two metres for the phone inside. There are seven colour options – all created from non-toxic, soybean-based ink – and like the rest of Casetify’s products, can be customised.

“We believe that what you put into the world is just as important as what you take out of it,” said Wesley Ng, CEO and co-founder of Casetify, describing the new Ultra Compostable Collection. He said the cases offer the very best of Earth-friendly materials while allowing owners to style their cases to their own personal taste.

The new cases are available from this month to fit the iPhone 11 and 12 series. They come in seven colours – Sunflower, Mushroom, Licorice, Peach, Eggplant, Avocado and Blueberry – and are priced between US$40 and $55. There are also Ultra Compostable cases for the newly launched Apple AirTags and both generations of AirPods.

Since the company’s launch, Casetify has worked to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability. In a partnership with Earthday.Org’s Canopy Project, the company has planted 50,000 trees, avoided 5000 single-use water bottles, and seen 21 tonnes of plastic along with 5000 cases recycled.

Casetify’s goal is to use the highest-quality materials and cutting-edge designs, to turn consumers’ personal electronic devices into stylishly slim, drop-proof accessories.

Compostable but durable products seem to be a growing category right now – last month we reported on lip balm cases from Ethique which can literally be tossed in the garden when finished with.
