Zero-waste grooming brand Smoosh has collaborated with Urban Outfitters to place its products in stores and showcase its sustainability commitment to eco-conscious Gen Z shoppers.

Smoosh creates a soap-embedded body tool to encourage consumers to get rid of single-use plastics in their shower routine. The brand aims to reduce the 400 million plastic loofahs and 1 billion plastic body wash bottles thrown away annually.

Research shows Urban Outfitter’s primary target market, Generation Z, prefers to purchase sustainable brands (62 per cent) and is willing to pay more for natural goods (73 per cent). Additionally, these customers are ideal for environmentally conscious businesses like Smoosh.

Adam Simone, Smoosh’s co-founder says the company is pleased to be able to share its products with a wider audience through Urban Outfitter.

“This partnership not only puts sustainable choices on the shelves but also empowers consumers to make a positive impact with every shower,” he said.

Customers can purchase Sage Body Scrubber for $29 and Cedarwood-Bergamot Smoosh Soap two-pack for $12 from 19 Urban Outfitters storefronts located in the US’s top college towns.
