Sustainable women’s footwear brand Vivaia – which debuted in the US and 2020 and is now sold in more than 61 markets globally – has launched in Australia.

Celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Alexa Chung, Julia Roberts, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson, and others adore Vivaia for its comfort and environmentally friendly design.

“With a focus on creating a positive impact on both the world and the people around us, we have crafted a line of comfort, stylish, and eco-friendly footwear, ensuring exceptional quality and value at a fair price,” said Marina Chen, Vivaia’s co-founder. “We are thrilled to bring our innovative designs to Australia, offering versatile, stylish options that our customers can feel proud to wear.”

Offering more than 200 chic styles expanding from machine-washable Mary-Janes to summer slides and water-resistant winter boots, selected Vivaia styles are made using 3D technology using materials upcycled from plastic bottles.

The brand also adds a padded insole and a four-way stretch top to its products for additional comfort.

From its founding, Vivaia has partnered with certified supplier Repreve to recycle more than 18 million plastic bottles into the fashionable threads that make shoe uppers.

With ergonomic design in sustainable materials, the brand was named one of Refinery29’s most valuable products last year. Now it’s available online and at a pop-up store in Melbourne.
