Gucci has collaborated with lifestyle and gaming brand, 100 Thieves, to launch limited-edition sustainable backpacks.

According to the Italian luxury house, the Gucci x 100 Thieves backpack is manufactured from Econyl material made out of fishnets, carpets and other recycled materials, as part of the brand’s sustainable Off The Grid initiative. The packaging for the backpack is also made from recycled paper.

“The Gucci x 100 Thieves backpack is a manifestation of both companies’ commitment to sustainability and respect: respect for the people we share our planet with as well as for the environment,” Gucci said in a statement

The bright-red backpack features a distinctive circular patch with the 100 Thieves logo and is limited to only 200 units.

The new product appears in a set of images shot by photographer and director Guy Aroch featuring seven of the 100 Thieves content creators – Valkyrae, Neekolul, BrookeAB, Nadeshot, CouRageJD, Yassuo and Kris London – and two of its pro players, Ssumday and Kenny, during a day at the office.

Gucci’s new backpacks are not the only product being made from repurposed waste fishing nets – VIable Earth recently reported on a swimwear collection from Beginning Boutique.

Update: Gucci has launched a range of eco-friendly eyewear. You can read about that here:
