Hong Kong plant-based grocery shop and cafe Green Common has introduced a vegan mooncake collection ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival. 

The six-piece set features two variants – Vegan Custard Mooncake and Vegan Mixed Nuts Mooncake. While the Vegan Custard Mooncake offers a light and soft texture with a mixture of plant-based milk, agave syrup and flaxseed powder, the latter consists of three different nut flavours.

Green Common mooncakes come with sustainable packaging which is created with the reusable box and compostable sleeve and tray and printed with the ink made from soy.

“We don’t create the products just for sake of it or because it fits into a lucrative market segment,” said David Yeung, co-founder and CEO of Green Monday Group.
