US food-tech company Armored Fresh has introduced another plant-based cheese called Almond Milk American Slices at the world’s leading consumer electronics and IT exhibition, CES 2023, in Las Vegas this month.
After revealing plant-based cheese cubes at the CES last year, the company hoped to draw more attention to the newly invented zero-dairy cheese.
The company did a lot of research and development to improve the taste of the plant-based cheese, giving it the same taste as real dairy-based cheese.
When developing the Almond Milk American Slices, the team aimed for a soft, chewy texture, and high-quality flavour and to improve on the unnatural texture of existing vegan cheeses by replicating the melting technique of normal cheese.
Rudy Yoo, founder and CEO of Armored Fresh, said the company recognised a big demand for alternative dairy products. “We are pleased to offer this superior zero-dairy cheese.”
The company has ambitions to expand the distribution of Armored Fresh plant-based cheese into markets across the US and beyond into Europe.
Post CES, Armored Fresh is looking to add Cheddar, Pepper Jack, and Monterey Jack to its list of plant-based products.
