Brin SeaDifferently

Brin, a Hong Kong-based lifestyle brand, has created an eco-friendly toothbrush SeaDifferently that supports sustainability throughout its life cycle.

French industrial designer François Hurtaud collaborated with Hong Kong marketing veteran Karis Lim to develop the brush. At the 2021 Hong Kong Smart Design Awards, SeaDifferently also took home the Gold medal for the Green Awards.

The company has used natural bio-plastic filament and recycled post-consumer plastic to produce replaceable brush heads, while recycled ocean plastic has been collected to make the durable handle.

According to Lim, compared to natural toothbrushes made from wood or bamboo, “SeaDifferently reduces waste by 90 per cent at the end of each use cycle, an important first step to eliminating a growing global problem”.

The brand has used 100 per cent compostable materials in packaging to reduce its impact on the environment due to shipping.

With the aim of revolutionising the personal hygiene industry, SeeDifferently will help customers to reduce their environmental footprint and move towards a more eco-friendly future.
