Aromatica’s complex cultural zero-waste space, Aromatica Zero Station, has opened its doors to the public in Seoul, South Korea.

The beauty refill station offers 18 zero-waste products, ranging from rosemary shampoo, aloe vera gel, conditioner, body oil, to toner. Customers can buy post-consumer recycled plastic or glass bottles at the store or bring their own.

According to the company, all Aromatica products are organic, vegan and directly produced at its eco-friendly smart factory in Osan, Gyeonggi-do. More than 95 per cent of its products are made with post-consumer recycled plastic and recycled glass.

Aromatica Zero Station houses an “Aromatherapy Zone” where customers experience natural and organic raw materials and essential oils used in the Aromatica’s products. The traditional extraction method of each raw material from leaves, stems, trees, and roots extracted into oil is displayed.

Specialising in tea that combines aromatherapy with tea culture, Aromatica features a tea house offering 11 homemade tea drinks of signature ingredients.

The recycling space is a learning and hands-on experience for visitors where they can learn to separate, recycle and dispose of their empty containers properly according to their material.

Aromatica Zero Station took over the space previously occupied by House of Aromatica. The brand reused and repurposed from the former store, such as glass, wood, bricks, and furniture for the construction process. The recycled materials were upcycled into floors, cabinets, product displayers, and more.
