Groupe GM has introduced an environmentally friendly amenities solution called Ecofill, a refillable and traceable dispenser for hotels.
As a large producer of amenities, French-headquartered Groupe GM has been around for 50 years and works with more than 30 brands around the world. After the launch of its Care About Earth plan in 2018, the company has developed several sustainable products that can both serve the market and reduce its environmental impact.
The new Ecofill dispenser comprises two parts that detach with a replaceable pouch that fits inside. This eco dispenser has a “Stay Clean” system in place – which makes it look more stainless and reduces contamination when changing pouches.
The device minimises plastic waste, as each 400 ml pouch uses just 8g of plastic – about the same as that used in 30 ml bottles hotels would have used before. During a 40-day period, one 400 ml Ecofill pouch uses 33 times less plastic, with no product waste.
Moreover, the dispenser is made from recycled and recyclable plastic, and in the future, Groupe GM is looking to make products from glass and aluminum.

Through our Care About Earth program, we have been able to introduce initiatives in favour of plastic reduction, and the Ecofill dispenser is a welcome addition to this portfolio of initiatives,” he said.
