The Swag, a sustainable bag producer and patented food storage, has partnered with SecondBite, the leading food rescue organisation in Australia, to solve food waste issues and provide meals for hungry Aussies.

Along with Stop Food Waste Day, this month, the Swag has unveiled a limited version “SecondBite Bundle” to sell all three best-selling Swag sizes, costing $4 for each bundle. All profits will be donated to SecondBite.

Once the customers buy a SecondBite Bundle, they can contribute to food waste reduction and feed 20 meals to Australians who are in need of food.

Peita Pini, founder and MD of The Swag, described the partnership as another step towards a future where there is no food waste, and where everyone has access to fresh, nutritious food.

“We are excited to partner with SecondBite to make a difference in the fight against food waste,” added Pini.

Lucy Coward, CEO of SecondBite, was thrilled to be working with “smart, progressive organisations that have the same values” and believes that using The Swag’s produce bags is an easy and affordable way to reduce food waste.

Both companies aim to encourage Aussies and businesses to lower food waste and the number of local people who are food insecure.

Stop Food Waste Day is organised to raise awareness and educate people to change their behaviours in the fight against food insecurity.
