Pizza Hut Singapore, the nation’s largest pizza restaurant chain, has teamed with Beyond Meat to introduce Cheesy 7 Beyond Supreme – a plant-based version of the brand’s popular Cheesy 7 Pizza.

Beyond Meat is a company creating plant-based alt meats with the same taste and texture as real meat while being better for people and the planet.

Created by combining seven different types of cheese and Beyond Meat’s vegan Beyond Italian Sausage Crumble, mushrooms and vegetables, the Cheesy 7 Beyond Supreme is targeting vegetarians and flexitarians.

The Beyond Italian Sausage is made from ingredients like peas and rice, without GMOs, soy, gluten, hormones, antibiotics, or cholesterol.

Jayss Rajoo, director of marketing and food innovation at Pizza Hut Singapore says the pizza is the chain’s first plant-based meat pizza launched in Asia.

“This partnership with Beyond Meat marks another step forward in our journey towards reducing our carbon footprint. Additionally, with flexitarians being the fastest growing consumer group in Singapore, we were motivated to launch Cheesy 7 Beyond Supreme to meet the growing demand for plant-based food options without compromising on flavour.”

While the Cheesy 7 Beyond Supreme will be available only until October 31, another alt-meat version, the Beyond Supreme, will be a permanent fixture on the menu after that.
