Apiwraps, the Australian maker of beeswax wrap, has launched a gift range available only to brick-and-mortar retailers, offering in-store customers a sustainable gift option.

Freyja Tasci, Apiwraps’ founder, says the gift pack will help Australian retailers who have faced challenging times during the pandemic.

“Unfortunately many of our stockists have struggled during the pandemic, and some even closed,” said Freyja.

“So we wanted to create a range which offered something new to the market. Our gifting packs come ready to post – with a beeswax wrap, a beautiful card, envelope and stamp – so that shoppers can choose a ready-to-send gift sure to brighten someone’s day.”

Beeswax wrap is known as an environmentally friendly alternative to other food storage wraps because it contains beeswax coating and other naturally-occurring ingredients. Unlike most other gift wrapping or packaging, beeswax paper can be reused many times and can be composted once it is no longer needed.

“Apiwraps are the perfect combination of design meets function,” said Daniel McCready from the Powerhouse Museum Retail Shop in Sydney.

“It’s a clever, unique and unpretentious idea with careful consideration for the environment that is executed with charm, made in Australia, and always of impeccable quality,” he said.

Each gift pack includes:

  • One large Apiwrap beeswax wrap.
  • A gift card to write on.
  • A ‘ready to post’ envelope.
  • All natural materials and packaging, made in Australia.
