Tencel

Tencel, a textile fibre brand owned by Lenzing, has launched a series of fibre applications that enhance transparency and circularity while also showing its commitment to a fully sustainable textile industry.

Partnering with Portuguese company Acabamentos Têxteis de Barcelos, Tencel introduced a collection of organic knitted fleece fabrics in January. Due to its soft and structured qualities, the product became a bestseller.

The brand then unveiled another lingerie collection made with branded lyocell and modal fibres. These added eco-friendly components of the product helped to satisfy consumer demands for softness, sustainability, and comfort.

Tencel also showcased the home and interior textile offerings made with branded fibres at some trade fairs including High Point Furniture Market, Interwoven 2022, and Heimtextil.

According to Gamze Stöger, global business development manager of home and interior textiles at Lenzing, sustainable materials and soft textures are key home & interior trends.

In addition, as part of its commitment to a sustainable textile industry, the mother brand Lenzing joined the Kingpins Show and the SpaceD in New York to raise awareness of the value of a sustainable denim industry and the adaptability of Tencel’s fibres in denim fabrics
