In partnership with local environmental enterprise V Cycle, IPSA Hong Kong has contributed to reducing plastic waste by launching eco-friendly umbrellas made from recycled plastic bottles.

The company has given away 550 upcycled umbrellas to customers as gifts in order to demonstrate the brand’s commitment to recycled materials and support a greener beauty lifestyle. The project has saved 7975 plastic bottles from waste.

Besides giving a second life to plastic, partner V Cycle provides job opportunities for the elderly by hiring them to pick waste for sorting and cleaning. The umbrellas were made from textiles produced from shattered clean plastic.

The brand also designed an umbrella tag to introduce the project, to raise customer awareness of the local circular economy and guide them to a more sustainable future.
