American power tools and accessories company Black and Decker has rolled out its latest range of sustainable power tools designed for eco-conscious consumers.

The Reviva range includes a drill diver, detail sander, jigsaw, and a screwdriver made from 50 per cent recycled material.

The company said the power tools still deliver the same reliability, ease of use, and safety that customers expect from the brand.

The power tools are also designed to have a minimum impact throughout their lifecycle and are built without common components such as rubber over moulds or coating to facilitate more efficient disposal.

Once the tool reaches its end of life, it can be sent back to Black and Decker for recycling.

Philippa Harding, ANZ group marketing manager for consumer products at Black and Decker, said the launch of the Reviva series marked a major step in the company’s sustainability journey – and it won’t be the last.

“Our research has shown that many would purposefully switch to a more sustainable brand when choosing household goods,” shared Harding.

“Made from environmentally-friendly, recycled materials, these products are designed to meet the needs of a new generation of eco-conscious homeowners, who actively seek products that make less impact on the planet.”

I’m impressed that these tools can be returned to Black & Decker for recycling once they’re worn out!
