French skincare brand Clarins has launched a recycling initiative in Australia called “Return. Recycle. Rejoice!”, as part of the launch of its new Cleansers & Toning Lotions range. This sustainable initiative encourages customers to visit selected Clarins counters where they can deposit any full-sized empty makeup or skincare containers in exchange for a trial size product from Clarins’ new range. Empties can be from any brand and will be recycled responsibly. The packaging for the new Cleansing & Toning Lotions range is produced without external or outer packaging cartons, with tubes made from 25 per cent recycled plastic.  A series of intricate 3D paper art dioramas designed by Australian artist James Gordon are displayed in-store. The designs were inspired by Le Domaine Clarins, the brand’s organic farm in the French Alps. A unique, protected site of 80,000ha, Le Domaine Clarins uses traditional, environmentally conscious production methods to cultivate plants used in Clarins products. In 2021 for the very first time, the Alpine herbs in the brand’s new Cleansers are harvested from this land as well as nearby agricultural partners located in the heart of the Alps.  The Return. Recycle. Rejoice initiative runs until February 14.
