As a part of the global sustainability campaign “Goal of the Century” for the 2022 Fifa World Cup, Hyundai Motor Company has debuted an eco-friendly jersey designed by American fashion designer, Jeremy Scott.

The designer showcases the eco-friendly jersey which is made of 100 per cent recycled PET bottle thread.

Hyundai also plans to expand its collaboration with Jeremy Scott to launch Re:Style – an upcycling fashion project that has been run by the company using leftover materials from the production of cars, such as airbags and seatbelts.

A “Goal of the Century” campaign aims to connect people around the world to create a united world for sustainability.

In addition to Jeremy Scott, there are other “Team Century” ambassadors: former England national football player Steven Gerrard, the global brand ambassador BTS, Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, Afghan refugee footballer and Denmark’s UNESCO ambassador Nadia Nadim, and professional investigative photographer Nicky Woo.

The release is also a part of a company’s roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045, which features five main areas: electrification, hydrogen business synergy effects, reducing carbon emission at work, support for net zero in the auto parts supply chain, and social activities for reducing carbon emissions.
