Food manufacturing company, OTS, has launched a new plant-based, ready-to-eat luncheon meat brand in Singapore.
Anew luncheon meat is available in three flavours: BBQ, Black Pepper, and Classic.
Developed by the company’s in-house research and development team and manufactured in Singapore, the luncheon meat is non-GMO, Cholesterol free, trans-fat free, and has no added preservatives. Its specific ingredients, however, were not disclosed.
“Increased awareness of environmental and sustainability benefits have been a key driving force for plant-based alternatives to become a growing part of consumers’ diet worldwide,” shared Ong Bee Chip, MD of OTS.
As the world’s population continues to grow, plant-based foods can help mitigate concerns about food security. According to Bloomberg, the plant-based food market could reach up to 7.7 per cent of the global protein market by 2023, with an estimated value of US$162 million.
“With Anew, we see an opportunity to participate in the fast-growing plant-based foods market,” Chip added. “We want to meet consumers’ expectations so that they can continue to enjoy their favourite food experience with our plant-based products based on our popular recipes,” Chip added.
OTS Holdings is a food-manufacturing company focusing on ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook meat products with key markets in Malaysia and Singapore.
