BioPak has partnered with verified restoration platform Veritree to fund nearly 60,000 verified trees to support ecosystem restoration projects.
The program targets land recovery and ecosystem restoration projects located in British Columbia, Canada, and Tanzania.
To track project metrics, including biodiversity recovery, water system health, local employment, and estimated carbon sequestration, BioPak will collect field data through Veritree’s technology platform.
The verified tracking framework relies on field-level data, including photo documentation and location mapping, to verify planting progress.
As part of the rollout, BioPak has established an online dashboard, the Impact Hub, to display data on project locations, tree species, restored acreage, and environmental metrics.
Through environmental groups including Rainforest Rescue, Greenfleet, and Ecologi since 2010, the initiative expands on the company’s historical tree-planting operations, which have funded more than 210,000 trees
Current operational data indicates that 95 per cent of the company’s product line is manufactured from renewable materials, with 74 per cent of its paper and wood supplies certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
