Crocs has reached a key sustainability milestone, achieving 25 per cent bio-circular content in its products. Around 80 per cent of its signature Croslite material – which contains bio-based content –  is now used across its product range.

Deanna Bratter, chief sustainability officer, Crocs, said sustainability should not be a tradeoff.

“Fans can feel confident that they are getting the same style and comfort they know and love from Crocs without having to choose between comfort or better materials – we are giving them both and making it even easier to do good with each pair,” said Bratter.

Heydude, a brand under Crocs, has also made progress by reducing its carbon footprint. The company incorporates plant-based byproducts and bio-circular Croslite made from agricultural, food, and other industry waste—while maintaining the same quality and price as its popular products, including the Classic Clog.

In 2021 Crocs set a to reach 50 per centbio-circular Croslite material by 2030. The company is already halfway there, with a 3 per cent decrease in absolute emissions and a 6 per cent reduction in emissions per pair of Classic Clogs compared to its 2021 baseline.

“We believe that to truly make an impact, we can leverage our innovative mindset and drive sustainability transformation, starting with our most widely used materials,” Bratter concluded.
