Online retailer Amazon has introduced an eco-friendly brand Amazon Aware, which features items from household essentials to daily apparel.

Amazon Aware was born after the e-commerce giant noticed its customers becoming more conscious of shopping and sustainable consumerism.

“Customers want to shop more consciously; we want to make that easier,” said Amazon.

According to Amazon Aware, all of its products are verified carbon neutral and feature Amazon’s certification of the Climate Pledge Friendly program.

“Amazon Aware products feature certifications that are part of Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program,” the brand says on its website.

“Certifications are chosen by product type – for example, for our apparel products, we selected certifications such as Global Recycled Standard.”

The company also reported that the carbon footprint of each product is estimated by ClimatePartner, which uses the GHG Protocol to help “cover emissions from materials, production, distribution and end-of-life.
