Zrou, China’s leading plant-based meat brand, will promote its dishes at this year’s Plant-based World Expo in New York this month.
Zrou offers consumers a “More Good” option as the brand strives to produce meat that is as tasty as it is nutritious.
“From day one, we created Zrou to be a global brand, showcasing a ‘More Good’ version of Chinese cuisine,” says Franklin Yao, co-founder and CEO of Youkuai Group International.
“We are excited to share the yumminess of Zrou Chef Creations for the first time to a North American audience.”
There are five dishes presented at the exhibition: Zrou Northern Style Buns with Shiitake and Bean Sprouts, Zrou Singaporean Curry Meatball and Rice, Shanghainese Braised Zrou Rice, Zrou Mapo Tofu, and Zrou Old Beijing Zhajiang Noodles.
Zrou has collaborated with chefs to serve plant-based dishes for more than 130 hotel, restaurant and catering locations and 55 school and corporate canteens in 18 cities. Zrou’s retail products are also stocked by 18 premium supermarkets and online.
In a partnership with hotel operator Accor Group, Zrou aims to develop a new sustainable dining concept. The companies plan to create dishes on the menus of Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Swissotel, Grand Mercure and Novotel hotels across Greater China.
