Lululemon has revived its Like New take-back and resale program in Hong Kong, marking the next chapter following its successful pilot last year.
From July 2 to September 30, community members can drop off gently used Lululemon gear or non-Lululemon items at select stores across Hong Kong, including Queen’s Road Central, Pacific Place, Times Square, Cityplaza, Elements and New Town Plaza.
Guests will receive a HK$100 (US$12.75) appreciation voucher for each drop-off.
“We’re proud to welcome Like New back to Hong Kong,” said Dr Joey Chan, regional director of Lululemon Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
“This initiative reflects our continued commitment to extending the use of our products, and expanding how we collaborate with partners and our community to drive circularity forward.”
Collected items will be sorted and processed by Redress for resale, donation or recycling as part of its partnership with Lululemon. Items for donation will be passed on to Crossroads or to other local communities.
Dr Christina Dean, founder and chair of Redress, said such collaborations will encourage mindful consumption and cultivate a circular fashion future for Hong Kong.
The Like New pop-up will offer a curated collection of pre-owned Lululemon pieces through a limited-time shopping experience starting this November. Further details, such as location and hours, will be announced in the coming months.
To advance its circular innovation goals, Lululemon has collaborated with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to launch Re:Form, a circular design competition focused on design education and talent development.
