The world’s most-Googled vegan brands have been revealed – and plant-based alt-meat manufacturer Beyond Meat tops the list.

The study, conducted by Maxima Kitchen Equipment, found Beyond Meat and Swedish alt-dairy brand Oatly are the two most-searched plant-based food brands with 422,000 and 198,000 monthly respectively.

Annually, Beyond Meat, the Californian-headquartered producer of plant-based sausages, burgers, and beef, records more than 5 million searches, followed by oat-based alternatives producer Oatly with more than 2 million searches a year.

Meanwhile, Quorn and Just Egg are ranked third and fourth with 95,000 and 94,000 searches monthly. Other plant-based brands making the most-searched list include Follow Your Heart, Allplants and Hippeas.

“The popularity of brands like Beyond Meat and Quorn shows our interest in plant-based meat, while the prevalence of Oatly and Alpro reflect the increasing demand for dairy alternatives,” said a spokesperson for Maxima.

While Beyond Meat dominates the US, Germany and Asian countries like Japan and South Korea, Quorn is the most popular brand in the UK. Meanwhile, Oatly was the most Googled vegan brand in Australia, as well as in Sweden and Indonesia.
