Luxury fashion label Stella McCartney is one step closer to its sustainability goal with The Reclypse, its latest eco-friendly sneaker after Loop.
According to the company, The Reclypse is handmade in Italy with 100-per-cent vegan materials. While the sneaker features a recycled polyester upper and plant-based platform sole, the lining is made from Econyl regenerated nylon sourced from pre- and post-consumer waste, such as fishing nets.
While the side is designed with the signature Stella logo, the tongue label reads ‘Suitable for vegans’, “allowing the community of next-gen changemakers to express their conscious choices through fashion”.
“The design explores a play on textures and clashing prints, bringing active new definitions of volume and silhouette,” the brand said in a statement.
The Reclypse sneaker comes in four different colourways “as the latest addition to our legacy of cruelty-free, conscious innovations in vegan footwear”.
The Reclypse is part of Stella McCartney’s Winter 2021 Collection and is available on the brand’s website and select retailers.
